Now, What is the best Suspension fork for £270?

Depends on what you want to ride - DH or XC I'd try www.singletrackworld.co.uk for XC for some recommendations, good forum.

That forum is full of kids, Singletrackworld or Bike Magic forums are great for XC advice, Southerndownhill or Descent World for Freeride/DH.

The RockShox Reba 2006 range are pretty hard to beat though...

I haven't used it in years. Last time I used it was probably 03/04. It was good then, although I wouldn't be surprised if what you've said is true.

I brought just a cheapo GT for £290 with RST Gila forks. I needed it fast for a holiday up to wales with my borther for a bit of XC (lol mountains). used to have a very nice bike but im on a buget these days.

Just brought some nice DMRv12 pedels and some bits and bobs.

I was thinking about the Marzocchi 2006 MX Comp Air, for 149. at chainreaction cycles. seems like a good pair as from what i read.

Make sure it's got near enough the same travel as the current fork so it works well with the geometry of the bike's frame and doesn't put too much stress on joins in it.

spend 150 on the mx comp then spend the rest on other parts is the best idea

yeah, Was thinking £150 on the Bombers, then wheels next.
What i realy want to do is to get in to XC racing. - get fit lke i used to be.

Any around in wiltshire or surrounding areas?

That might have something.

That was just a quick google though, so I'm not sure.

Best bet is to ask on a bike forum such as bikemagic, as lots of the people travel round the country for different trails.
