LGA 1700 board. Lian li Galahad, board doa so removing and reboxing but one of the stand-off poles that goes into the rear bracket / through the motherboard is completely stuck. Spins if I use pliers with some force but doesn’t then loosen up to be removed.

Any ideas?

Been a fun evening..

It is ******. Even the parts of the bracket without any bolts in are stuck they won’t pull out the board even with pliers. It’s as if the bracket was too big for the board, but it’s def the 1700 one as it’s labelled.

Update. I had to use cable cutters on the plastic on the rear until just the metal was left, push the metal in from the back a bit so the edges were accessible from top of board then use pliers to ‘crimp’ the ends so they would go through the board.

Never seen anything like it, maybe an early version of the 1700 bracket where the fittings were too big, no clue.

TLDR I made a massive mess

I was looking for the news headline of nuclear fallout traveling west from a mysterious explosion. Way to let the crowd down >:(

At least you got it though the board.
