i cant mount back plate, screws dont even seem to touch back plate, the holes seem filled in by some black plasticy stuff, do i pierce it ? please help, rest of build was absolutely painless and a pleasure to build.

I gave you a link in your other thread that clearly showed how a H100 fits to a socket2011 board, try reading it.

I didnt see or forgot about it was just in a frenzy

I found out the reason was 2011 dosent need a backplate. All installed. Booted first time could get into bios no problem. Out at min will install windows and stress test later all seems fine to say ive never built a pc before :)

Lol I was wondering the same thing the first time I tried to mount the h100 and other variants to the x79 boards.

did it in the end, woeee, 22.c hahaha this is some good thermal pasting, had core temp running for an hour now to monitor it as i do desktop things and been stuck at 22 degrees

Run Prime95 or Intel burn test for a bit and let the CPU stress out and heat up, then use Realtemp to mointor the core temps and post your results.

Oh, and pics?:)

yeah i will, gonna run ungine first make sure 560ti is okay, just noticed in coretemp it says my i7 is ES hope that dosent mean engineering sample, will get cpu z now.
