So I plan on doing some long distance riding on my bike once the weather clears up and going on bikes meets. However, I don't have £200/300 for a satnav and would love to mount my phone on the bike so I can view maps!

What's the easiest & cheapest way of doing this? Anyone done this before.

Cheers,
Mac

My S5 is waterproof :p

er.. $50 here so won't be more than 30quid there I'd imagine.

(I'm English btw)

*Edit* Also rains more here than there, just in big bursts and not days of drizzle :p

Ah okay I have the OnePlusOne which is basically the same size as Iphone6+ but squared off at the edges. £30 seems reasonable but I could get a Tank Bag for that over here.

Depends on what you like, a tank bag on an R6 wouldn't look great, if you have other things that you need to haul then that'll work out better.

I've got a Honda CBF125. So Style points are already out the window to be honest. Might just end up with a Tank bag as they're really practical for my needs.

The problem I found with my phone (LG G3) is at 5.5" inches it's a bit too big for the cases that are out there which might be an issue with the Oneplusone. I'm going with the Givi S954

as it appears to be a top quality bit of kit, but that's only for a maximum screen size of 5" inches. Not a problem for me as I'll be buying a dedicated bike phone if I pass my tests.

This might work though

I would also consider getting yourself an Anker Power Bank so you can top up your phone if needed because GPS can drain the battery.

Yeah that will work really well but if you're planning on doing long distance riding then I'd suggest connecting a powerpoint directly to your battery.
