Hey guys, wirerd one this but can anyone explain or linky me to a guide that explains speaker mounting? Most decent home cinema speakers ive seen or had have a threaded hole in the back for a bolt, is this a standard? are the holes different sizes? Does the type of mount have a name (like VESA standard in TVs)?

I ask because i have a set of monitor audio vector 10s and the mounts ive bought just seem a little janky the bolts dont fit even though they supply several, the hole in the speaker is too shallow and it all just seems a bit crappy.

So are there any good faq's out there? advice or recommendations appreciated

Speaker mounting isn't as standardised as TV mounts. But in general it doesn't need to be. If the speakers have a fixing point the the bolt size will be either a metric or imperial thread size. Have a look at the Vector manual - go online if you can't be arsed finding the paper one - then see if it is listed. For me tri sizes then M6 and M8 are pretty common.
