not sure if this is correct section however my friend bought a used corsair h100i 2nd hand as was told that it came with the amd mounts but it never. is there anywhere he can get a set of amd mounts for this cooler

There are no mounts for AM2/AM3/AM3+. the pump unit clips directly to the existing plastic mounts.

The items in the pink oval are all you need plus 2 thumb-screws.

No hes saying that it uses the normal plastic mounts that were already on the motherboard.

It's only when you re-read something that it really makes sense.

If the items I ringed aren't included, and with it being second hand, we can assume it's been used on an intel rig and the rest of the bracketry thrown away?

yeah he doesnt have those in the box despite being told they were there. is there anywhere he can pick them up or are they only included in the boxed retail version of it

kewl ive we searched high n lo yesterday but no luck whatsoever. was hoping they were released on there own but looking at it i very much doubt it

Could you and/or your mate go to the retailer or person you got the item from and say you either want the mounts that you were told were included or a full refund ?

i told him to open a dispute but like he said its probs not worth the hassle, about tenne to post back and he only paid 29 all in inc postage so would end up with less than 20 back. currently looking if its the same mounts that are on the h60 and h80 i think as if it is hes gonny buy one of them take the amd mounts out and resell it as intel only

The H80 is a totally different design so wouldn't work. Can't speak for the H60.

OK fair enough...also as it's 2nd hand maybe run it outside of the case for a little while...just to make sure there are no leaks

Sorry its been a bit of an epic for your friend

I know OC were selling refurbished corsair AIO loops earlier in the year for a good price, not sure if any are left if he decides to sell and look at something else.
