hey everyone!

is it possible to disable mouse acceleration in windows 7 whilst im ONLY playing games?

i would like to keep how windows feels whilst im doing my thing around windows. when im not gaming mouse acceleration disabled is a big NO NO from me :/

could anyone recommend any software that could disable it when i start up a game? i cant find anything :(

thanks :p

Pretty sure this can't be done, it requires a registry tweak to remove the acceleration.. which needs a system restart to take effect.

EDIT: There are three levels of acceleration:
1.) Operating system (which requires a registry fix).
2.) Some mice have inbuilt acceleration and offers a program to disable / tweak the acceleration on the mouse itself.
3.) The game, can normally be disabled.

The second level of acceleration is what Reaper is referring to.

If you want no acceleration whilst in games you need to disable it in windows, otherwise your games will just inherit acceleration from windows. Honestly, I'd just use 'MarkC mouse fix' and disable it all and be done with it.
