Hi guys,

Need some mouse advice as I am driving myself crazy trying to find the right one.

I have used a logitech Pilot optical for years and can kick ass with it, but I need a side button or two so have been trying to find a new mouse.

I am a claw grip gamer who uses low sens so I lift the mouse a lot.

I just bought a MX518 4 days ago but it was utter crap, sold it straight away, felt like holding a huge egg.

I then bought a razer copperhead as it was supposed to be a claw grip mouse, but it is too heavy with a liftoff problem, everytime I lift the mouse to turn the cursor flicks about a bit, so I sold that straight away aswell and there is far too much resistence on my new Steel series QCK mousepad.

Should I just give up and go back to my pilot or does a mouse exist that will suit my needs?

I'm starting to think gaming mice are all a load of rubbish and should just stick to a basic optical. Anyone have experience with the Intellimouse Explorer V3?

Thanks for any advice and sorry for the rant!

Thanks a lot for the info guys, I decided to buy a Intellimouse Explorer V3, first impressions are very good, thanks for the recommendations!

download "D4RKSL4Y3R's Mouse config Tool" and up the polling rate on your IE3.0 from 125Hz to 500Hz, no need to go higher as there's little improvement @ 1000Hz

.

Nice one mate, definitely feels a bit better!

Merlin5, I think my main problem with the MX518 was how high the back of the mouse was. When I play, my wrist hardly moves on the mouse mat, I flick a lot, sidewards and upwards/downwards but with the mx518 when I would flick down the high rear of the mouse would force me to have to lift the mouse off the mat, hard to describe :)

Us PC gamers are a fickle lot! haha

If only Logitech could re release the best mouse in my gaming histroy, the logitech wingman gaming mouse, imagine that with a side button and optical sensor? Mmmmm
