I currently game on a cheap wireless keyboard/mouse combo made by Atek. I seem to be doing alright with it but i want to upgrade.

Ive done a lot of reading and understand that wired is better than wireless for gaming. Is is really that much better? I would prefer wireless as i have limited deskspace so 2 less wires on my desk would help quite a lot!

Is it more important to have the mouse/keyboard wired compared to the other?

Your thoughts on wired/wireless setup?

Does this look like a good option? > http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-082-LG

I was considering getting one of these myself. I currently use a Logitech G5 and I have never found the need to stick the DPI up to 2000 from my normal setting of 800, its just totally unnecessary IMO. I think the 800 DPI offered by the MX Revolution would be more than sufficient for all but the most discerning of gamers. The supposed "difference" in performance between wireless and wired mice may have been an issue years ago but I doubt its a problem nowadays. I use a wireless keyboard and I'm very happy with it - the batteries last for absolutely ages - wireless is definitely the way to go IMO. I would definitely recommend both keyboard and mouse are wireless. I can use my keyboard from my bed but obviously not the wired G5, but the ability to use both would be pretty cool.

Cool, thanks for that. I now have the courage to buy that wireless mouse. :D The best mice ive used is a standard MS wired mouse so anything better than that is going to feel great!

Just need to find a nice wireless keyboard now. Looks like theres not many 'gaming' keyboard around. Might have to get a regular keyboard.

If you get on with microsoft mice, thier wireless intellimouse will be perfect for you,

Theres a few versions available, think mines version 2.0, ive had it for a long time and would reccomend to anyone.
I belive there are newer versions. so you dont need to spend much if you dont want to.

I would reccomend this:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-071-MS&tool=3

Its not state of the art or anything but you really cant go wrong.

I like the look of that keyboard.. is it deffo wireliess? Im going to be getting the Logitech MX revoloution mouse.......

I dont notice much of a difference between wireless and wired keyboard but when it comes to the mouse I really cannot stand using the wireless, I notice the input delay straight away and its rather annoying. Maybe the mouse is more of a precision tool so the delay sticks out more than the keyboard.

I am currently using the Razer Deathadder mouse and Microsoft Reclusa keyboard and I can say the Deathadder is the best mouse I ever used.

Is the reculsa wireless?

you dont need any of this 'gaming keyboard' crap get one of these :)

1. Whats that?
2. How much?
3. Is it wireless?

Argh, to get the standard of wired looks like i have to spend around £100+ for both mouse and keyboard. Whereas if i go wired it will be about £60.

I on the other hand would advise anyone who is looking at the G15 to get one now (the original) before the above monstrosity is released upon the world!

For the record I'm currently rigged up with the original (and best) Logitech G15 and the Razor Deathadder both are the best I've ever used ;)

Why you say that? Whats wrong with the new one?

Would say a G15 and a MX Revoloution be a good combo?

Would the MX Revoloution be that bad for fps gaming?
