can some kind person take the time to spec me a keyboard that will go well with my new i7 build wireless is preferred as the PC is in my room, will eventually build a cabnet for a small screen etc budget for both is £50 maximum total.

will be used for gaming and coursework

I would suggest this mouse and the apple wired keyboard with numpad (£30).

The apple may sound like a strange choice, but it is a low-profile keyboard that uses chiclet sytle keys that are great for typing on, also it works perfectly in games and it is solidly built.

If you don't like the look of the apple - then go for a logitech which you do like the look of. They make great keyboard and their customer service is second-to-none.

I've only had problems with logitech keyboards (However, I've only ever used the cheap ones) the buttons seem cheap and just feel awful (don't know how to explain it ^^). However, some of the more expensive ones may be better.

Logitech products have only been perfect so far for me, and for people I know that they haven't their customer support is by far the best ever amongst any kind of service i've seen.

Their speakers and mice have been outstanding, just the keyboards I've been unlucky with

No probs with keyboards for me either. I like their budget, low profile range. Using a Ultra X at work and a Illuminated keyboard at home. The Ultra X unfortunately doesn't have a gaming matrix, but I've never noticed any problems with FPS games.

Aside from the Apple keyboard (which I like too), the Microsoft Sidewinder X4 / X6. Seem some in my local purple store, maybe worth having a look around to see what's where.

The MX518 is a solid gaming mouse. Simple, sturdy, and versatile. I use one at work.

little key ghosting app I made to test my keyboards
