Hi guys

I am looking to purchase a Logitech G500 to replace a terminally ill first gen Logitech G5.

I have just purchased a new computer desk (wood material) but I wanted to use a mat to help protect the desk from abrasion and the build up of skin and dust in the grain of the wood.

I have heard that there are some really nice mouse mats out there that help your mouse perform in different ways.

What I am looking for is a large mouse mat, made from a soft material, that will not fray at the edges, and will provide me with a 'default' or 'neutral' sensitivity that could be achieved from just using the mouse on the surface of the desk. I am not really looking to spend any more than £20 on the mouse mat.

Please could you advise on the best mat to purchase for my needs?

I use my PC for two-boxing in my favourite MMO (EQ2) and for Rosetta Stone... lol.

Here is a photo of my new desk, and the sort of area I have available.

(Sorry the photo is really dark, there's a headset to the right hand side of the mouse, I actually have a lot of space available)

would have recommended the Boogie Bug but the top layer of fabric on mine has started to come up at the edges.

I got a boogie bug on Monday. I have noticed that the edges of the fabric aren't finished off that well. But it is good value for the size, it's huge!
