Yo,

I have a GA-Z87X-UD3H and it works excellently. However, when the PC is shut down, hitting the mouse turns it on. I can't find the option in the BIOS and it isn't in Windows, can anyone direct me to how to turn it off?

Thanks

didn't know the board had that option, pretty sure my friend had the same board and he couldn't find an option for it.

Is it definitely shutting down completely not going into sleep / hibernate?

Okay it might not be definitely shutting down :S
After going into the BIOS and then pushing the power button for a shut down, clicking the mouse wouldn't turn it on.

Loading up Windows, then turning off through windows, and the mouse click would work :/

Another interesting thing, after shutting down from bios screen, hitting the mouse once turns the light on the mouse on (roccat logo lighting) but not the pc or anything else. Unplugging and replugging the mouse in turns the light of, but hitting the mouse button again doesn't turn the mouse light on again. Does anyone have a solution? :(

Hmmm very odd.

I don't get it if i disable the fastest boot option. Never really thought of it as an issue, so i didn't bother playing around with the settings.

same behavior as my asrock h77 but I actually set it to happen.

load to bios > power off by button > kbd/mse won't turn pc on
load to windows > shutdown via windows > kbd/mse can turn pc on

Where did you set this? In the BIOS?

In Windows device manger, if you find the mouse, right click > properties > power management tab then untick 'allow this device to wake computer.

i don't think this option applies to this scenario.
that is for waking the computer from sleep
op is talking about a pre boot environment e.g. computer woken before win loaded

edit: correct me if I'm wrong

Job done! Thank you!

Thanks to everyone else too, enabling erp solved the problem.

hey that's cool you're welcome :)

be aware enabling erp will also disable wake on lan in case you need to use that in the future. some have options under power management to leave erp enabled but explicitly disable mouse + keyboard power on
