Are there any relatively 'modern' games (preferably not RPG's) which use purely mouse control, rather than requiring additional keyboard input?

Another requirement is that they don't have to be downloaded, as our so called 'broadband' speed is little better than 'dial up'.

PC has a 2500K processor, a GTX560 Ti GPU and plenty of RAM so no problems in that area.

I could expand a bit more, but will wait for some initial responses first! :)

How about the monkey Island games or some other point and clickers from GOG. Even on 56kb modem speeds you might be okay with 10mb or so.

Not knowing why you want mouse only you could opt for a mouse with lots of buttons mapped to specific key presses, should help keep everything on one device.

The Corsair Vengence M90 has 15 programmable buttons.

Andi.

command and conquer series
broken sword series
napolean total war
plants vs zombies
audio surf

Why do you need them to be mouse only is it for a child, disabled person, injury to other hand?

defense grid
you would have to download it i guess, but it is small
and totaly awsome :D

angry birds?

there was some cat game on rockpapershotgun that was 2 button only

and theres glovepie script program, u can turn voice commands into keystrokes and macro's

Thanks for all the suggestions guys... more than I expected. :)

Just to expand a bit; although I enjoy playing games on my PC, but being a lazy sort of guy, I prefer the slower moving type, which expect you to think a bit, but I do appreciate good graphics. However I do currently play quite a few 'hidden object/adventure games, such as 'Dire Grove' for example.

A lot of the titles mentioned are hardy what I would call recent releases and I played quite a few of them the 'first time around' as it were, and I go back even further than 'King's Quest' for example! (I bet that means nothing to more than a few of you!)

I am certainly going to look a bit deeper into the Broken Sword series, so thanks again to those who mentioned those, and I will be checking out some of the others also.

Edit: Just seen the 'Angry Birds' mention, which I really enjoy playing on a PC, as opposed to a 'mobile'!

No worries i replied to your e-mail as i need your address, might not be able to send until Wednesday as i just watercooled my rig and a bit skint until then lol.

I have them on steam and have played them to death since the PS1 days so hope someone else can get some enjoyment out of them.

could play any fps game, get a razer naga and bind the wasd keys to the numpad on the side of it to move around

have 1 and 4 to strafe left and 3 and 6 to strafe right, 2 to go forward and 5 backwards for easier controlling, mouse wheel scrolling to switch weapon, mouse wheel press to jump, 2 left left mouse buttons for reload and crouch toggle and still have 6 buttons spare :eek:
