My MX1000 is showing battery critical, when I put into the charging cradle, the green lights show for a few seconds then the red led starts flashing. Ive left it like this for a couple of hours but it is still doing it. Is my battery knackered? Is it time for a new mouse? If so, what would people recommend. I mostly use it for gaming, WOW etc but also for general use too.

If the mouse is less than 3 years old its still under warranty - get onto Logitech and see if they can help - their customer service is excellent.

Have you tried cleaning the contacts on the mouse and charger ? They can become corroded, preventing charging.

Yeah I cleaned up the contacts. I know they get gunked up sometimes so thats the first thing I did. It does seem to start charging ok for a few seconds then the wee red LED starts flashing.

It could be the battery has reached the end of it's useful life. Is it replacable ?

hi, make sure you have the base unit plugged in via the AC adapter to a wall plug socket. it wont charge from USB only.

i had this issues until i realised that my ac adapter was half hanging out.
