Mouse: double-click effect

So I'm sure most of you have experienced this at some point, you click once but it actually happens to double-click on screen. It may happen all the time or once in a blue moon but its enough to drive you mad What do you do?

My gigabyte m6900 has recently started doing it (Again) For a while it had stopped after playing around with plugging it in different USB ports, Moved my PC onto desk replugged everything in and the issue is back. Problem is this time it wont go away no matter how many times I switch to different USB ports isit really time to part company with her? :confused:

Lift the left button slightly and spray a bunch into the opening. I do this often with my Naga when the click starts to go soft (It often results in double clicking). Job done, click back to normal.

I can only assume in my case it's 'gamer gunk' getting into the micro switch and giving it a blast fixes it.

could be a damaged micro switch, in which case the fix would be to open the mouse up and bend the switch back a little or replace it (soldering required).
