Hey guys,
So I'd been suffering with a dreaded double / triple click problem with my Razer DeathAdder 3.5G mouse (where 1 click sometimes results in a double or triple click).
The problem had been getting worse and so I decided to check the internet to see if this was a software or hardware issue. The internet originally led me to believe that it could be either and that apparently installing Synapse could fix the problem - tried that, no joy.
Tried the mouse on another laptop, same problem, so it appeared to be a hardware issue.
I was just about to order a new mouse when I stumbled upon a thread on tomshardware forum where a guy called Pat Flynn said:
Anyway, I decided to give a try, and hay presto, it worked!
Just thought I'd share this in case anyone else has the same problem. Hopefully it works for you too.

"The toggle switch that operates the 'button' sometimes gets a static charge buildup. To help release it, breath a few breaths into the gap between the button and the base of the mouse (the slit that allows the button to move and 'click'). The humidity in your breath will usually dissipate the static buildup and the button will stop double clicking- most of the time. I repaired a Logitech G602 using this method, it might work on the Razer mice as well.
*Note- it may take a few tries to do this, I had to do this to my mouse over several days. Slow breaths are better as it allows more humidity to dissipate the static."
