Hi all

My mouse (cheap standard optical mouse) feet pickup loads of crap form my mouse mat. Now would a nore expensive mouse stop this, I have to keep cleaning/scraping the crap from the feet/pads on the bottom of the mouse.

Please don't talk about my dirty house, as the wife polishes ever day. LOL

Is it a fabric mousemat? As I find those just attract dust and hairs (then transfer to the mouse), unlike the plastic type ones.

I don't generally eat at my desk, what I do eat is only the odd thing, and I ensure the bits do not land on my desk, this is due to having a epensive £70 keyboard.

MY PC lives in my kitchen, maybe the crap forming on the feet could be due to having a tumble dryer in the kitchen. I do have the vent pipe hanging out of the window, but it doesn't stop it all.

to a certain extent everyone gets cack on there mouse mats, I do for one, not so much with my new mouse mat, but I found with plastic ones, I get like lumps of brown sort of spots appear :S, my new mat is this kinda shiny hard vinyl stuff and it seems to stay cleen.

If you created a vacume box with a glove going into it which you put your hand in and put the mouse in there you could prevent it ever getting dirty again, and because it would be in a vacuume i presume it would glide well!

well not sure about you, but personally I don't think it'd cost effective, or very comfy, but like you say it'd stay clean and glide well, .... although I'd imagin the inside of the glove would get pretty manky.

I'm not sure if the mouse would work in those kinda conditions, wouldn't it just like inplode or summit?!

and dave when are you buildin ** sig?
