Just placed an order for my dell vostro, but think i will need a mouse to go with it, as it will recieve some heavy use! I am looking at the Logitech Mx1000. Any comments on this? have found it for £35 on a competitor. so looking to spend that much! prefrably cordless and rechargable. but this is not neccesary! thanks for your help.

I don't think you will find much better for the price, the MX1000 is fairly chunky though so if you have small hands it might not suit very well.

I went for a corded mouse with my Vostro and purchased a Logitech RX1000.

Unless you go for a Bluetooth mouse? I acquired one for free from a friend (so I don't care that it was £50 odd) and I quite like it for general use, and it's also good for games (although I've not tried it with fast paced FPSs).
I like the conveniece and tidiness of a wireless mouse on a laptop (I got the built in Bluetooth module), and with optical ones being quite robust I don't bother with a mouse mat.
