Mouse help.

Hey all,

I've brought a new combat wing gaming mouse, it's it's working apart from from the mouse wheel is not scrolling the page up/down.

Instead a small blue window pops up with numbers 1-100 and as I scroll the wheel the numbers change higher or lower.

I'm using windows 10, on a new pc.

Anybody heard of this happening or know a fix please?

Sounds like another piece of software is causing the problem, easy way to test for that is to try the mouse in another computer or boot in safe mode.

You're seeing the volume control in Win 10. Did the mouse come with any software? Go into windows mouse settings in control panel (type control panel into the little box beside the windows start button and press enter) and make sure the scroll wheel is configured to actually scroll.

The fact that this is happening makes me think you have an OEM pc which means you probably also have bloatware. Use "programs" in control panel to remove unwanted junk.

I've sorted it now thanks. Couldn't delete the thread for some reason.

You're right it was the volume control, there was a small switch on the bottom of the mouse which needed clicking off the volume setting. Must be for media etc.

Cheers anyway
