Mouse is possessed

I'm pretty sure this is fine here. My mouse pointer on my works pc is possessed. It keeps moving around the screen and clicking itself, it even does this when I take the batteries out of it. I'm using a Microsoft wireless optical 2.0.

Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on as it's really buggin me now and this is the 4th time I've had to type this out due to it going crazy.

VNC (or similar) installed on the machine? Someone in the office playing silly buggers?

What's VNC?

Also the people in my office hardly know know what they are doing at the best of times.

There are 2 other wireless mice nearish to me, and the pointer is randomly moving around with no idea where it's going. I wasn't sure if there was some kind of interferance making it do this.
