My wireless mouse (Logitech MX something) is randomly jerking around. Its like its missing frames, it is usually when it is under load, even slightly.

This happened on my old computer with the same mouse, but it only happened in games and worked fine if I put the USB receiver on the case's own USB sockets.

Whats going wrong? Please help!

Thanks in advance,
- Saul.

(I will make a video of it when I get home).

could be interference from other wireless hardware you have. Try powering off things like your wireless router or anything else that could interfere. It could just be a case of moving your router or putting your usb receiver on the end of a usb extension cable and placing it somewhere else.

Thanks, worked. My router is about 10cm infront of my mouse, just edging on the end of my mousemat, it was obviously my wireless router then.

My wireless AP was about 15cm from my MS mouse receiver and didn't cause any problems. Have you made sure to press the connect button on both the mouse/receiver?

change the channel your mouse or wireless router broadcaste on and they wont interfere. they are probably both on the same channel, i belive thats channel 6? or is it 8?.... think its 6 lol.

My mouse runs at 2.4GHz, fast, eh?

Edit: Oh, and guess what wireless runs at:
"Home wireless networks based on the 802.11b or 802.11g standards transmit their signal in a narrow radio frequency range of 2.4 GHz"

Edit 2: I've just changed my routers wireless channel to 13, hopefully at the other end of the 2.4GHz spectrum, away from my mouse's frequency. It was originally on Channel 1.
