Mouse Jumping

My mouse is jumping quite badly across the screen. I have no idea if this is due to the performance of the PC (just set it back to normal clocks) or the mouse itself (Logitech MX610). How can I test this?

I am afraid that I am a tool and have wasted everyone's time-it seems that my desk is too dirty for it, just tried it on a piece of paper and it is fine!

my mouse jumps too... but its a crappy one i dono where i got from, but i try cleaning my desk too

Remember, mouse mats are your friend

I used to use paper but I found it too grippy on the mouses feet, bought an Everglide Titan and its like its running on thin air
