guys... as in the title, am after some decent gaming gear.

seems the g15 keyboard is the one to get (correct me of wrong)
but what about a mouse to match... want to spend about 40ish on one. i dont need side to side wheel movement, but i want atleast one extra button (by the thumb)

also, i want a new headest. i have a logitech usb one, but the pads hurt my ears, and id rather a normal 3.5mmjack one. is there any difference in usb or 3.5mm jack connection?? looking to spend like 40 ish on theres too, but will sway with prices a bit.

thanks dudes

Gaming keyboards are generally a pointless idea, I have a Saitek eclipse because it looks nice but I would not pay the £40+ the G15 costs.

Mouse wise theres a few good ones:

G7
G5
MX518
Copperhead
Habu
Intellmouse Explorer 3.0
G3
Diamondback

There isn't really a definitive 'best mouse', it depends on what you find comfortable but out of those my choice would be the G5/G7 or the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0.

id get a diamonback or a copperhead, which ever suits ** budget, and then get a headset from the sennheiser range, i.e. pc140, 150, 160, whichever suits ** budget.

i would get the copperhead, a sennheiser headset (got the HD595's my self, best buy i have ever made in my life) and the eclipse keyboard

good luck

I have the mx518 and its brilliant!!

But heard the eclipse and copperhead is a superb combo!

ok.. so ive narrowed it down to the g5/mx518 or possibly the habu.

is there much of a difference between the 2 logitech ones, as i like the way they are shaped compared to the habu, although i like the way the habu has lights. but if the drivers for the habu are still messed, i just wont bother with that.

as for the cans, what i really want it some wireless ones. but... i cant find any reputable ones with a mic on them. i dont particularly want toi use a desktop mic either. so if anyone has any experience with wireless cans with a mic built in, let me know. prefferable under £80 if i can get them for that, otherwise i will probably go for the pc165 sennheisers

thanks for the help guys

mouse: if you use high sensitivity then diamondback/mx518, otherwise IE3.0, Inteilmouse optical, mx300, WMO 1.1 and overclock them to 500hz on usb

though keep an eye out for the deathadder, they're redoing the laser to improve it again, so it should be pretty top notch.

don't get a lazer mouse they're pants

headset : depends on how much you got and whether you want open or closed headphones... you don't need over the top headphones as the source (probably soundcard) isn't that great to what the headphones can achieve. Also if you headphones are purely for games or for music/videos aswell. I find closed headphones that have more bass better for locating footsteps etc, though would make music/videos shout not that great in comprision.

keyboard: best 2 are raptors/tarantulas, though both cost a lot. Apart from that they do pretty much all the same, though things like G15 has some fancy e-peen crap on it, for wow macros really, not things which make a difference to FPS games.

on the list..

why is the G3 away from the other logitech stuff?

i have G3 and i love it.

Because I forgot about it until nearly last :/ Like I said they are all good and I just said which ones I would choose out of them.

when you own a g15 keyboard you will realise that it isnt just for gaming!
ive owned about 15-20 keyboards and it wipes the floor with them all

mice - ive about 6 mice inc 518, but if you are like me ,hate wires, there is only 1 mouse G7 all the way

headsets, the best usb pair ive heard(or owned) is medusa 5.1(also has very good software to set them up)
at the minute ive the razor baracuda HP-1 but im waiting for the baracuda sound card to arrive to get the maxamum out of them, but first thoughts is the posisional sound is excellent but the medusas have a bit more bass(the software that comes with the baracuda sound card should sort that out though-loads of settings hehe)
hope this helps m8

Yeah, can assign them to any keystroke for any program. So glad I bought one, couldn't be without now :) You get used to having the little display there too :p
