The G5 is my favorite mouse of all time, it just feels a little slow these days.

I like the weight of it and the fact you can add/remove weight, I love the way it feels in my hand and the way I hold the mouse it just fits perfectly and I feel like I have complete control over it.

Use a Roccat Kone + at the moment and while a good mouse just never got on with it as much as I do with my G5.

Any ideas?

I'm using a G500 and rather like it. The rough texture takes some getting used to but it has a few extra buttons, adjustable weight and 3 sensitivity levels that you can adjust via the bundled software. I had a a very quick look at the G5 via google and they look very similar.

The G500 is just an updated G5, it has 3 side buttons insead of one or two, a wider range of DPI settings, and a clutch for the mouse wheel (clicky or fast scroll).

In clicky mode, the mouse wheel behaves exactly like the G5 (it sometimes over or under scrolls) which is it's biggest weaknes IMO.

I've had 2 G5s followed by a G500, and love my G500.

I have a g500 is a great mouse I just can't get on with it have tried so hard to get my hand position but just can't I find it to high a profile and my hand just doesn't sit on it right gone back to using a cheap mouse I bought(trust mxt 14 I think) is perfect for my hand feels like it was moulded for it gonna look at the g9x is a similar shape so hopefully fingers crossed will suit my hand.
