Hi Guys,

Im once again looking for some advice, I am looking for a new mouse mat, I am currently using an Icemat V1 and I am finding it less than useful, I would like to go back to a fabric/flexible type mat but one that is resilient and robust, any advice is welcome from the experts out there!

I've been using one called ' My own desk surface' ever since I've swapped old school 'ball' mice for optical and it's been working perfect.

What mice are you using?

Yeah but there are hundreds of different mats im sure all of them are good but I can build up some kind of pattern of use, which manufacturers are good which arent etc etc

My mouse mat is the oldest component I have now. It is at least 10, years old. works well with optical mice and was free from a customer.

I also have a logitech marble mouse at work which does not need a mat.

I use any old mouse mat... and never have a problem. One of my mice is a cheap optical and the other is a good old microsoft ball mouse that's been going strong for 15 years (with occasonal cleaning once every couple of years)

Can't understand why anyone would think they need fancy branded mouse matts... they all seem to work fine for me?
