Ive got a Razer metal one. Really like it, I used to use the smooth side, had to switch to the control (rough) side as over time the metal had very slightly warped and the mouse could slightly drag due to the glide pads being so low profile.
Hopefully I can turn it back over soon
Really highly rated as its shown like zero wear to the surface. I may pull the "feet" off the rough side so its completely flat on the desk and cannot warp again when I turn it back. The feet are rubber and it certainly never moves, but I am not convinced it would move even without them.

I use an icemat for my G5.
Cannot recommend them enough, had it 2 years+, no wear as it's glass.
Only problem is, that it can be a bit cold.
