Got myself a zowie fk and just looking round for a new mousemat to go with it.

I like quick surface for high dpi usage.

Artisan Shiden have tracking issues with optical mice i.e. my mouse.

I used a steelseries 9HD which works well as in: good glice and little resistance and doesn't wear the mousefeet down but i could do with more control, i miss the target and back up quite a lot.

Considering trying out the zowie G-tf speed, heard good things and keeps the mouse and mat in the same brand too.

Also considering the steelseries qck but may not be fast enough.

Any thoughts?

hey Jewii

Hardmats are the mice you want to avoid if your looking for little resistance and wear, as the friction generated can wear mouse feet down over time, your best bet is to look at cloth mouse pads, these have low friction as the teflon feet glide across the fibers of the cloth.

Depending on the type of cloth you want I'd suggest a non "glossy" type of cloth these can create great slide but can generate tracking issues, especially for me with having low DPI, although with you being a person who enjoys high DPI you still want a little bit of friction so that you can be accurate whilst using high DPI, and the mousepads you have suggested both are ideal. the Zowie G-tf speed has a good balance of friction and glide, same as the Steelseries QcK.

in my person opinion I'd go for the Steelseries QcK as this pad has been out for years and is still the best seller because its a great balance for any gamer or task, the Zowie G-tf speed pads have unique features to add to the overall build of the pad although I feel the Steelseries Pad has a good size and balance.
