ive currently got this
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...name=Everglide Titan GamingMat Gaming Surface
its almost dead and i want to order something else...
glass or plastic? i dont know, the only requirement is that it will last without being ripped to shreds
im using the G7 laser mouse..
The mouse isnt as accurate as i want it to be, it moves 1mm in the wrong direction and this is annoying
What are your preferences?
I've used
SP
S&S
icemat
destructor
exact mat
heavy
5L
titan/mantis
qpad ct
ex-r
plus many more
if you like low friction with some control then get the destructor
if you want low friction glide get ice mat
I'd avoid metal pads as they have some undesirable qualities.
Smooth cloth? then get a Mantis speed.
If you trying to decide between glass or plastic i'd definitely go with the destructor.
here's a little write up a did a while back

Hey all, how are you?
I said when I get my hands on a Destructor I'd post up, so here we go.
Its been a bit of a stilted release due to Razer beveling the edges at the last minute after a reviewer commented on the sharpness, but they seem to finally be filtering down through to the stores.
So mine was acquired for free (on loan from my mate damo who runs a pc store in bristol) and recently I've tried the SP out so comparisons will be drawn.
The packaging and case are class. The actual look of the pad is what you'd expect, lighter than the s&s in color and a healthy size - with thankfully no green razer logo on it.
Now to the important part...feel.
I have to say the glide on this pad is perfect, while it remains a fast plastic pad it offers more friction than the likes of the SP. So you get lovely speed with great stopping power and adjustments. It just seems to strike what I believe to be the perfect balance of speed vs control, while it seems most other plastic pads are just out for being lowest friction possible.
The S&S and SP have both felt a little wild for me not so much in a skittish fashion just too much acceleration I've never really had a light touch and this really shows on both those pads. having said that I played very well on an s&s for years, but I used cloth recently for the added friction which had felt great but still had me longing for the properties of a plastic pad.
Basically my game doesn't really get effected going from either I just know exactly how I want the mouse to glide and been slightly caught in between all these pads.
The spot on balance has arrived for me with the Destructor, the grain is very fine with an almost soft feel to it. This would usually mean the pad would wear very quickly, who knows what compound Razer have used (who cares) but it doesn't seem to wear fast. Now I've only been using it for 4-5 weeks, but its had heavy use and there's literally no sign of wear even starting. The base is a solid piece of rubber much like the SP base which works beautifully.
You still have to have a tendency for plastic to love this pad. Die hard cloth people will always prefer cloth. If however you've ever enjoyed a plastic pad in the past but fancied a touch more friction then this pad could remedy all that.
For me it feels right in the zone of speed vs control but if you like the least amount of friction then a SP would be more suitable.
As a plastic pad I'd give this 10/10 It seems as close to perfect as plastic could be! If they never adjust the price then make that a 9/10 as cost is usually a factor with most people. However this is easily worth the premium over a S&S and an SP IMO. And I actually I have bought 2 now for both my home rigs. Its also 3cm wider than both the s&s and SP, giving low sens players a touch more room.
