Mouse mats & Laser mice

Do laser mice need special mouse mats, andf/or is there certain types of mats they run better on? ie cloth

Nope you dont need a mouse mat to run laser mice.
I've never used a mouse mat with my laser mouse and it runs great.

depends on your desk surface, ie glass

I just got an icemat2 and razor diamondback, and its truly awesome... Used to have an intellimouse explorer without a mouse mat and my desk is wood and has loads of small grains and ridges in it. If your desk surface is the same i would consider a mouse mat

I have a Logitech G7 laser mouse and use it on my wooden desk surface.
Works fine for me and no mouse mat to make yer desk look untidy.
