Mouse Mats

I wonder if anyone has come across this problem before...

I bought a desk a few years back, made of aluminium and looks like an aeroplane wing with rivets etc, looks awesome. However... the raised rivets are a right bugger when I'm trying to game. Even with a Jumbo OCUK mousemat, I can feel them underneath (cause its a soft spongy mat) and it restricts the movement somewhat

Now I know what everyone is thinking..."What an idiot for buying a desk like that". I know, I'm stupid, but it is so pretty to look at I couldn't resist.

So this is where the question is, does anyone else have this problem? And if so, did you just buy a hard mousemat and put some rubber feet on it to raise it slightly?

But will either of those mats elevate themselves above the rivets? If not, no use unfortunately

Yeah, assumed rubber feet glued to the bottom would be my only option... hey ho!
