Mouse movement not smooth in Windows 7

Hello all!

I installed Windows 7 on friday without a hitch, apart from a Bootmgr issue which meant that I couldn't reboot after power off, fixed now though, thanks google!

My annoyance to do with my mouse. I have a MX518 Logitech mouse and I can pyscially see it the cursor move from pixel to pixel (like it jumps from one pixel to another), so for example diagonals look like the cursor is following small straight lines. This becomes really, really obvious in FPS's. I play a lot of TF2 and whilst the game runs like a dream in W7 any small incremental mouse movements "jump" between pixles, so sniping is practically impossible.

I did the usual install things like turned off mouse acceleration and installed the latest compatable Logitech setpoint software suit for Windows 7.

I've messed around with any other mouse settings I can think of but I cannot get a nice smooth scrolling pointer. Oh, I had no such issues in Vista.

Any ideas oh wise ones?

Thanks,

Tapeloop

I didn't realise Windows 7 added dirt to your desk!

Serously though, I gave the mouse / surface a good clean to see if any bits of crap had got stuck in there and I think it's okay, thanks.

I'm going to take home my work mouse to see if it's any better, but I get the feeling it wont be.

my razor is not as smooth as it was either, but early days boys, Vista when it came out was unusable for me! win7 just has a few 'quirks'
