Evening,

Looking to get a decent mouse and keyboard.

Not to fussed about loads of macro keys as i usually play fps.

Basically looking for a keyboard with back lights and not to big. Thought about this but both keyboards have the pro/cons.

YOUR BASKET
1 x TT eSports Challenger Pro Gaming Keyboard £46.99
1 x Roccat Arvo Compact Gaming Keyboard £44.99
1 x Logitech G500 5700DPI Gaming Mouse (910-001262) £36.98
1 x Steelseries QcK Gaming Mouse Pad (63004) £8.98
Total : £148.44 (includes shipping : £8.75).

Anyone got other suggestions?

Microsoft Sidewinder X4 + Whatever mouse you prefer (Corsair M60, G500, Mionix Naos...). That TT Challenger Pro would be also a good guess. I'd avoid Roccat, I've had enough of their poor quality.

Some mice are better for palm grip (Naos / QPad 5K, large mouse, ergonomic), some better for finger tip (Kinzu, light and small). Depends what you prefer. Logitechs are usually middle of the road.

Not a fan of soft mouse pads, I always find them 'tacky' (in a high static friction sense).

I use a SteelSeries 4HD, and that's much better for me. As usual, horses for courses.

G500! It takes a little getting used to the rough edges which are meant to stop you slipping without the usual rubber grip sores. Great mouse with 5 set DPI control and auto switching profiles for games. Profiles for Call of Duty so I can use shotguns, snipers, machine guns and pistols all with just the click of a button.

It can change profile with Application Detection. You then have 5 predefined DPI profiles to pick from with just a click.

Pros;
Braided Cable
1000hz polling
Great for Claw or Palm gaming
Switchable scroll wheel for click type scroll or smooth scroll
Customization weights
Completely re-programmable buttons (can even do left click only if already programmed somewhere else)
Smooth to move (Providing you have a nice mouse mat, Razer Goliathus Extended Control for me)
Works on clear glass 3mm+ thick

Cons;
Grips get a bit of getting used to
Software cannot pickup some games
Could do with heavier weights (personal preference)

And its less then £40 (excluding postage)
