My mouse has started going all screwy on me. Its a razer Diamondback. Every couple of minutes the lights go off on the mouse, I lose all control and I usually get a "component unplugged" bubble, control is usually returned after a few seconds. Every so often I get a message telling me that a USB component has malfunctioned, or has exceeded the USB power limit. When I get one of these I have to yank the mouse out and stick it back in. When I get it again I'l make note of the exact problem.
I wouldn't have made this thread and just written it off as a borked mouse, but this morning I lost control, the lights went off, it blinked a little (the lights) and my entire PC cut off. This hasn't happened since but I'm still having the other issues.
I've tried it in another port, I thought this worked for half an hour but it just had a few more wobblies.
Any suggestions?
Cheers.
EDIT: This is quite an important development. It seems it happens a tremendous amount whenever I pile on the pressure. Under load, like when playing a game it will cut off and stop responding a few times a minute.
