I am currently using a Cyborg R.A.T 7 Gaming mouse and a Razer Goliathus Omega Fragged Control Edition Gaming Mouse Mat and despite the name i don't like my mouse mat.

I find it isn't precise when it comes to a few pixels between hitting a target and not it seems to make the mouse jump. Now I'm not entirely sure if this is the mouse mat or the mouse but for my wallets sake i am hoping it is the mouse mate.

When i move the mouse over a small distance it seems to, not catch but you can feel the fiber of the mouse pad as your moving it.

I'm not sure but i figure a plastic/metal gaming surface will fix this and would like some suggestions as to what i should use to avoid this.

Thanks, Nick

I think you'll find, that the mouse if to blame. My R.A.T 5 was exactly the same and had to RMA as it was causing me so much grief. I swapped for a Corsair M60 and the problem instantly disappeared.

I'm using this for the gaming mat:
