Logitech MX518 approx a year old but with a stack of gaming against it. Last couple of days it has decided to freeze for approx a second meaning you cannot turn during game. Obviously not acceptable.

It's used on a decent mousemat
I did a fresh OS install about a month ago and all has been fine until now.
I have uninstalled the mouse and reinstalled
I have turned off indexing in WindowsXP
I have defragged all drives
I have reinstalled the game.

Any ideas what it might be? I am wondering if it is Graphics Card related although the system doesn't seem to be overheating in any way - about 60 deg C during heavy load.

Cheers :)

if using USB doesn't solve the problem, email Logitech. they'll probably send you a new one and ask you to send them the old one.

After plugging in to the USB I could hear as it connected / disconnected everytime I did specific mouse movements... turns out it is a fractured wire at the joint where it goes into the mouse. Time to whip out my Stanley and soldering iron me thinks.
