Mouse problem with Farcry!

Just installed Farcry today and for some reason my Logitech MX518 mouse does not want to work with the game. It will work fine in the Farcry menu etc but when it comes to actual in-game gameplay it refuses to work at all. I have installed the most recent patch and don't know what else to do other than try a fresh install. Anyone heard of this issue or know of any possible solution?

Thanks.

Go to the menu and then 'controls', there should be a 'reset buttons' or similar button, try that. it's a pretty common problem, iirc.

Yes, it's a known thing, you have to 'reset to default' it iirc. I have an MX518 and experience the exact same problem whenever I first install Farcry.

Also, if you're just playing single player you don't want to install the 1.4 patch, just the 1.3 patch. The A.I. or something was screwed up with the 1.4 patch allowing the enemy to shoot you even though they shouldn't be able to see you, something like that anyway. :)

I had that problem with the 1.4 patch. I reverted back to 1.33 anyway after reading about the AI bug, but it fixed the mouse bug as well.

There's an unofficial 1.41 patch you can get that fixes the AI shooting through tents - worth getting if you're not planning on playing multiplayer.
