Mouse Problem?

Mouse Problem? - Oblivion

I have a diamondback razer mouse. Recently playing Oblivion and again has arised the problem that the mouse seems to 'lag', I move my hand and there is a slight delay in the response on the game. This also occurs just on the menu screen, which makes me doubt my graphics card is at fault.

I also had this problem in Black and White 2. But other games such as CSS and BF2 are fine.

I wondered if you have any suggestions as to what might be causing this?

I have the newest razer drivers installed and my pc specs are as follows;
P4 3.45ghz
1GB CAS 3 Kingston Ram
Geforce 6600

What settings you got the game on?

1024 x 768

Medium Graphics, I doubt its that though as the mouse wasnt very responsive on the menu and charecter creation screen.

Could it be the mouse drivers?

Although I have a different mouse, I found that if I install the latest intellipoint drivers there was slight lag of about 10~ ms. (only notice it when trying to rail

) I uninstalled and the problem went away. Can you manage without the fancy drivers?

I put this problem down the the way it worked.. when it was slow there was a process called 'point32.exe' and maybe a second one, I can't remember. But with the driver uninstalled there is no process that's for the mouse that I can see.. and yet the mouse works fine without it..

I didnt have any mouse drivers installed before.. i installed them hoping it would help but it neither made it better or worse.
