First of all make sure the wire of the mouse isn't stretched too tightly or caught on anything. For some reason that seems to cause axis locking on the Lachesis.
In that case ensure that you have the latest driver and firmware from Razer's site, as both have been updated from the out of the box versions. May I also ask what surface you are on?
Go to the razer website and download the latest firmware available for the lachesis.
Install the firmware according to the supplied instructions.
Also check the driver version aswell afaik there is a 1.1 version out for drivers.
Firmware version is 1.9 or 1.91.
