Mouse problems: Quake, Desu Ex, CS 1.6

NEVERMIND, i found the culprit. a while back i used a batch file to remove the default windows acceleration curve, i reverted the values back to default in the registry and it works now. blaaaaargh

Title typo Deus ex

I am currently using an mx518 (1600dpi) with no logitech setpoint installed, and whenever i install an old game, like the ones in the title, i have the problem of my mouse not moving. Clicking/rightclicking works fine, and the games run fine, but the mouse wont move at all. I can enter a game of cs1.6 using console commands and the keyboard, and i can strafe around, but i cant aim at all. Could anyone enlighten me as to what these games have in common? Is there something im forgetting to install? Ive had this problem for a year or so, and my rig has seen fresh installs, and the only part that hasnt been replaced is my gtx460. Ill post my specs below if thats any help, thanks in advance

Ram: 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 @ 1600mhz
GPU: Gigabyte GTX460 1GB oc'd
PSU: Coolermaster 700w Modular
HDD: 60GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD + 2 Western Digital 500gb HDD's
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Edit: installing setpoint doesnt seem to help at all.
