Mouse problems

Hi all I have a Microsoft explorer 4.0 mouse and recently when ever I left click in windows or browsing the web,I find that sometimes the button does not work and I end up having to push hard to get a response!

Am I right in thinking that the mouse button is on its way out or could it be a Windows problem of some kind.

More than likely the mouse button is on its way out. It could just be a bit of grime stuck underneath which can just be cleaned out.

How long have you had the mouse?

Not sure ,maybe about 18months?
