mouse recommendation

I currently have the Logitech Cordless Desktop S 510 keyboard and mouse, but i am growing to dislike it more and more, so i was thinking of changing to the Saitek Eclipse 2 keyboard (considerning my pc environment isnt greatly lit where the keyboard is, this keyboard is a godsend with the lit up keys)

but i'm wondering what mouse would you recommend? My pc is mainly used for gaming and internet surfing so i'd have to bear that in mind. plus i've never used a mousemat since i've had pc's, is it ok not too or is it best to have one? if so, could you recommend one of those too? thanks for the help guys....i have birthday money to spend and it is burning a hole in the pocket

seems like logitech seem to do the majority of cordless mice, any more recommendations or is the mx518 the best for games and net surfing?

overall my s510 keyboard and mouse have been ok, havent broke or anything....only fault i have is that considering its only couple of months old the "L" key has worn off when i dont even use it!!! bad considering its not that old


very tempted to go with the eclipse II keyboard, probably will order now i think...just not sure what mouse to go with, and if i should get a mouse mat to complete the package?!?

at the moment i seem like i'll be ordering the eclipse II keyboard. i am tempted with the mx518 but ideally i would like to keep a cordless mouse

looks like i'll be ordering the saitek eclipe 2 keyboard and MX518 mouse after all the good things sent, but i would prefer a wireless mouse......

what are the MX1000 and G7 mice like?
if i do end up getting a wired mice, would the mx518 or a razer mouse be better?
