Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone would suggest a good mouse for me.

I don't really do much gaming at all, so don't need a gaming mouse, but it would be nice to have a 'best of both' mouse as now with my Logitech VX Nano, I can't even use the scroll wheel as a button, as when you click it it switches between clicked scrolling and free scrolling (makes more sense if you have one then you know what I mean)

And I am having problems with this mouse, it is very old now, and single clicks are turning into double clicks and if I'm holding down on something and dragging it the mouse will sometimes 'let go' of it for me while I'm still holding the button down

I am looking for something that is:

- Reasonably priced
- Wireless
- Possibly rechargeable?
- A well known brand, maybe another Logitech

Anyone got any suggestions? Something you're using and like?

Thanks :)

Logitech G700.

Wireless, argueable on price, recharges and becomes a wired mouse when on cable and well known brand. As a bonus it's got about 5 more buttons in useful places, has the tilt function on the scroll wheel and fully re-programmable buttons.

Personally I found the cable it comes with about the worst possible option they could have bundled the thing with. You could possibly beat someone to death with it it's that thick and heavy. Took the cable out of one of those tiny, thin, pitifully low grade USB bungie connectors (about £1 each) and use that when I need to charge it while in use. Provides about as much resistance as a kitten under general anesthetic. Works a treat.

G400?

Meets two of your four requirements.

Hmm seems okay but I should have mentioned that wireless is an important requirement lol, I like a nice wire-free environment :p

I have not seen this thread before, but I have used this mouse (my cousin has one) and it seems like quite a good, non-gaming, mouse and that is a VERY good price. Only thing is I should have said that the reason I might be getting a mouse is because I got a £75 gift certificate (like a voucher but doesn't all need to be spent in one go), for a large online retailer, so I won't be able to make use of that amazing price. It is just over £50 on that website I am getting it from.

As above, the G400 is superb but isn't wireless however.

Yeah I wanted a wireless one preferably

G400 and G500 are good if you palm the mouse but if you don't they suck, the G9x and steelseries mice are good

Unfortunately they're all out of my choice as they're wired. But out of interest what do you mean? Just the way you use the mouse? I tend to have just my fingers on the mouse but that might just be because the VX Nano is quite a small/portable mouse

That is only a little bit more money than the MX Performance one. I think I like the look of the MX Performance one better though. The G700 seems like a good option too though.

This. I have this mouse, it's extremely comfortable, the mouse's R.R.P. is like 80 quid too so that price is tasty.

See above what I said about the price. But yes I've used this mouse and it did seem good.

Now I just need to decide what to spend my £75 on. One thing I definitely want to do is remove the case from my GTX 460, take the fan off and put a new, quieter fan (maybe a Gelid) on there as that is the only part of my computer that makes much noise. Then the remainder of the money I need to see if I want to save it, spend it on a mouse, or spend it on some nice headphones. Will probably be save it or mouse, don't think I will get headphones

Thanks for your help and keep any comments / suggestions coming :D
