Mouse recommendations

Hi all,

I'm currently trying to decide what Bluetooth mouse to buy for my MBP. I mostly use my MBP for coding, watching movies, surfing and light photoshop work. However, I might start gaming on it too once Steam is released for Mac.

I'm currently considering the Magic Mouse and the Razer Orochi.

What does everyone here use?

I think that the Magic Mouse will be awful for gaming, don't even consider it.

Only seen like one video of that mouse, looks rather sweet

But can't imagine playing anything with it!

Hmm... think I might get a Magic Mouse and then plug in a USB mouse if I ever want to do any gaming.

I've never found Apple mouses any good, I get a PC mouse and never look back.

I love my Magic Mouse for general PC usage, using with my macbook atm, it's fluid, intuitive and feels great to use. But I would imagine due to the low profile and only having a single physical button for gaming it would be aweful.

I still use my MX518 for gaming, well priced and a great mouse.

I ordered a Razer Orochi in the end and it turned up yesterday.

It's a fantastic mouse. I love the fact that it works over both Bluetooth and USB via a detachable cable, so you get the best of both worlds. It's small but still feels comfortable.

My main worry was that the Mac drivers might be poor but they're not. It integrates very well with the OS and you can even change the sensitivity on the fly. Everything important is configurable via Mac OS X.

And it even comes in a little case to protect it on the move.

The only downside is the price. £67 vs. £56 for a Magic Mouse.
