Hello everyone,

I currently own a MX518 and it's been giving me problems, I also have never been impressed with it. I was wondering if someone can help me pick a mouse, I'm mainly an MMO player.

My budget is £70.

I have looked at these 4:

Razer Deathadder (Seems pretty good for the price tag)
Razer Naga (Anyone who plays WoW praises this mouse a lot but I'm not really sure why I'd want all the buttons, I already have all my abilities keybound)
Roccat Kone+ (all reviews seem to be pretty good)
Steelseries XAI HD (hear good things about this one too)

So far I'm inclined to go for the Razer Naga Molten Edition but not sure, anyone can help?

Yah guys, tbh, if it wasn't for all the extra buttons (im an mmo player), I wouldn't even consider the razer since the steelseries XAI looks really good and the Roccat Kone+ has amazing reviews.

Everyone who plays wow says the extra buttons are amazing to have thou, Im just not sure how well I'd use them since I dont know if it would be awkward to click the right ones with my thumb...

My Diamondback 3G works perfectly fine after 2 years, so does my old one which i use with my laptop which is about 4 years old now.

I'd reccommend either Razer or Logitech, go to a shop which has a decent selection of mouses and try them out in your hand, see which is most comfortable etc. Then buy it online (assuming it's cheaper).

Yeah i had a razer copperhead for about 2 years as well, i sold it to my cousin and i believe he still has it, so it's lasted us about 3-4 years now.

I must admit thou. Im not impressed with the roccat kone responses in this thread :P, maybe i ll just get the razer naga, a well known e seller is doing it for 20-30 pounds less then everywhere else so i might gamble it and hope i like it

The Kone is a good technical upgrade over the 518 and the buttons are in familiar places. However, Roccats build quality and customer service is terrible.
Razers build quality is better, but only just. If you need an upgrade for MMO purposes then you should probably go for the Naga.

Although, I fail to see how the MX518 can cause you problems that aren't fixable by contacting people here or at Logitech HQ. Sounds more like you just want to buy something new.

Yes and no, basically what happened is, I never liked the mouse because of it's palm grip style and second, lately it's become really unresponsive, I have to double click things for example, or hold the right hand button down for longer then usual so Im not too impressed, i contacted them and they said they'd send me a replacement but I don't want it because I don't like the mouse so I'm just gonna buy a new one.

Well if it's faulty I'd still take them up on the replacement and sell that on the Members Market. People will bite your hand off.

Yeah I will, it will be brand new, I won't even open it, used one I might give to friend/relative xD.

So I'm still inclined to go towards Razer Naga, i just hope it's worth it, never used a mouse with so many buttons before. I've owned Microsoft Habu, Razer Copperhead and Logitech MX518, so they have all been modest in price and utility.
