Mouse resolution issue.

Hello.

I have a mouse with an on-the-fly resolution changing button. On a Linux PC, I can cycle through five different resolutions successfully, however, on a Windows 10 PC, it defaults to the lowest resolution (of the mouse, not the lowest resolution that is set by the first press of the button) and it stays at this resolution with each press of the resolution button, except the last press, when it changes to the highest resolution!

Is there a reason for this and can it be fixed? Bear in mind, the Windows PC is a work PC and is everything is heavily restricted, so I won't be able to access many settings.

Thank you.

Thank you for the reply, Steveocee.

The thing is, my other mouse with a DPI button seems to work.

I tried it on another PC that had been upgraded to Windows 11 and I think it seems to be working on that PC, but then again, I have no way of knowing what the exact resolutions are. The PC I had tried it on was Windows 10. I can accept this aspect as solved.

Thank you.
