I've got a very weird problem on my main PC at the moment. Basically, whenever I copy data to my HDD (i.e. ripping a CD), my mouse pointer stops responding for about 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, it starts responding again but will stop responding again after a few seconds if the copy is still taking place. I can still alt+tab and use my keyboard as normal. Programmes are still as responsive as ever.
Spec:
Windows XP MCE
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
Abit KN9 Ultra nForce 570 Ultra
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2
2x Hitachi 160GB SATA Deskstar HDDs in RAID 0 (C: drive)
1x Samsung Spinpoint SATA 750GB HDD (Media drive)
Razer Copperhead mouse
The freezing happens no matter which HDD I'm copying too. I've tried updating the mouse drivers but my mouse is using the standard Windows mouse drivers.
Anyone got any ideas?
