My USB mouse (MS Laser Mouse 6000) has just decided to stop responding this evening. I have a USB Wacom Tablet connected and this still works fine.

It will work for a few minutes and then stop responding. I'll move the Wacom pen around and then the mouse would work again (this was at first but no longer). I have to reboot for it to work but then it stops responding again. I actually had it going for a few hours and then about 10 minutes ago it stoppped responding again.

Any help would be great.

I also had some HD problems which I posted here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17909197. I'm not sure if they would be related??

I also just go a pop up error on the system tray about a hardware error. It listed an unknown device in the keyboards section of the device manager. My Wacom was listed there I think, but now it's not... this all might be related to to when I moved home and unplugged everything and had to re-connect everything. I know Wacom tablets can be funny if they are connected to a different USB port, though might is still okay...

...freaking mouse is playing up again

I've tried almost everything. Nothing is working. It worked fine since I re-intalled Xp two weeks ago and now it's messing me around. I'm having to use my Wacom pen to move around with. :(

I'm not sure if there is perhaps a conflict with the Wacom or something, but why now all of a sudden...???

Any other suggestions?

I plugged it into one of the front USB ports and that worked... for about 5 minutes...

I thought it might purely be an issue on the back USB ports - there are 4 with the following connected: Mouse; keyboard; wacom; USB hub cable leading from the monitor (DELL 24").

What would the best way be to uninstall the mouse drivers? At this rate I'm tempted to freaking re-install XP64 again :(

...help

EDIT: I've also just noticed that if I unplug the mouse for a while and then plug it back in it'll work for a bit (a few minutes before it stops again)...
