Hi guys, today my PC has developed the most strange of problems. It's not very easy to describe but I'll try my best.
Basically, the mouses clicking will sort of stop working. The pointer still moves fine, but I cannot highlight or click anything in one particular section of the program which currently has focus. For instance, in Firefox it will happen and I can scroll through the website but not click anything, however I can click things in the title bar.
If I quickly alt-tab back and forth this will sometimes change to where I can click on the website display, but nothing in the toolbar section. This is true for other applications aswell, for instance I can open an explorer window but not then click anything inside it.
If I ctrl-alt-del and then spam task manager eventually it comes up and it seems to work better for a short while, eventually failing again. Generally when the above happens I cannot click or un-hide the start-bar either.
I've done some googling and it seems its a fairly common problem and just a stupid bug in Windows 7, but with no way to fix it nor any further information. It's hard to describe but I assure you it is the most frustrating and ridiculous problem I've EVER had with a windows machine.
YES I've tried other hardware, it is a WINDOWS/EXPLORER issue. I run a seperate Linux installation for dev stuff and its absolutely fine.
Anyone had this issue before? Or am I going to have to reformat tomorrow
