I currently have a MS/Razer Habu which has started to play up (can't complain as it has had some use for a good few years) - the mouse buttons are starting to get temperamental, sometimes they work when you click them, other times they don't and then other times it is as if you have double-clicked (not ideal for FPS games)

What suggestions would people give for a new mouse these days? Don't want wireless and something like the Habu shape/size would be preferable unless I can get my hands on something else to try it before I buy

Cheers in advance

I'm using the Steelseries MMO mouse, the older one before they released the "Legendary" WoW edition. Largely because I have gotten used to having lots of mouse buttons, so going back to anything less I struggle to get used to :D and i've had nothing but good experiences with Steelseries.

I bought my partner the newer version, it is basically the same thing but smaller, she really likes it but she has small hands, it is a small mouse by my standards.

One of my close friends uses the Razer Naga, he swears by it and it gets used an awful lot. My only complaint was the mouse buttons being so close to eachother, it is easy to misclick.

I haven't had first hand experience with the other mice, but I would assume the build quality would be similar with either brand.

A few of the guys in my guild have naga's and say the same thing. The other issue is a couple of the buttons are harder to reach.

Razer released a mouse called the hex which was six buttons on the side in a better configuration.

At first I thought the mouse buttons would only be good for MMO's, but i've found them indispensable in most of my games.

On Skyrim for example, I have all of my different dragon shouts on my mouse :D and poisons/weapons/spells etc. on keyboard

Cheers for the suggestions folks

Rusty - not sure about the G500 as I have tried something very similar to that in the past and wasn't keen but if I can get my hands on one I will give it another try

Spuj - was looking at the Deathadder as well as it seems to be the most similar to the Habu

But, I have just been speaking to my parents and my dad thinks he may have a Habu lying around as he got one and didn't like it so I might get myself a replacement for nothing in that case as they don't live far away from me ;)

Which also means, plug it in, download the profiles and away I go, no configuring to do or adjusting sensitivity settings for any games
