Hi all
For some reason, since about a week ago, my computer has been turning on when a button on the mouse is pressed (from a shut down, not standby). I can't find anywhere in the BIOS to turn this off, there is only a WAKE FROM KEYBOARD option which is disabled anyway.
Mouse is Deathadder and Mobo is Z77-3DH
Anyone know how to disable this?
Cheers

never heard of this, your mouse wake your computer, but never heard of it turning it on.

The only thing i can think of is if you go to you're mouse properties/hardware click properties at bottom then change settings then go to power management tab then un tick allow this device to wake computer, that might work.

Not sure why it's doing it from a shutdown state but there should be an option to turn off the power to the usb ports when shutdown which should stop it happening, albeit in a roundabout way.

Have tried updating the firmware an also de-selecting that option in the mouse's power management, but neither of those worked.

After some quick diagnostics, it appears there are only a couple of USB ports which it does this in. Just tried all of them and it only seems to be happening in some slots and not others...

It will probably be in the BIOS somewhere, something like power on from USB. If it's shutdown then changing windows options would not make any difference.
